Conflict Resolution Now, dear brothers and sisters, I appeal to you by the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ to stop arguing among yourselves. Let there be real harmony so there won't be divisions in the church. I plead with you to be of one mind, united in thought and purpose. 1 Corinthians 1:10 Thousands of churches today are experiencing painful, consistent conflict in the midst of their faith community. Some have suffered with this so long that they believe it is “normal” to live in. For a congregation to become healthy the “cycle of conflict” must be broken and removed. Spiritual healing and forgiveness must occur. A new, comprehensive strategic ministry plan must rise out of the healing to replace old paradigms of ministry which often fed the conflict. For the healing to go forward, major leadership development must take place. Leaders will learn how to become agents of reconciliation in the context of their faith community. |
