 Time of  Envisioning

No congregation can be all things to all people. In fact, when churches try to offer too many ministry options, the overall quality of ministry is lessened. The leaders of a congregation must wrestle with the questions:

  • What calling has God given our congregation at this time?

  • What strengths do we have in our membership to fulfill this calling?

  •  How can we be excellent in focusing on the areas of ministry God has called us to, and develop a clear Strategic Ministry plan of development?

One or more of our Staff will arrive in your community in the early part of the afternoon on the day of your Envisioning.  He or she will meet with your Pastor and any other key Staff persons to listen to their input, sharing, evaluation and dreams for your church.  He or she will then walk through all your buildings and property, and take a short “windshield tour” of the area surrounding your church.  The Pastor and a few leaders can then share dinner with our Staff person, and following dinner, we will have a two hour Envisioning session with ALL the leaders of your church (decision makers) and any members who would like to attend.  The evening meeting should be from either 6:30 – 8:30 OR 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. .

During your Time of Envisioning meeting, your leaders will be guided in clarifying the areas of ministry related to God’s call for your church.  We will also assist you in identifying the ministry strengths of your church.  Upon these strengths, we build ministries of excellence for the congregation and the community. Whether the climate in your church could be described as “better than ever” or “truly in need” — the Time of Envisioning will enable your leaders to carefully consider the spiritual foundation of your church.

There is no cost for your church to host an Envisioning.  We do ask that you cover travel expenses of our Staff or volunteers leading the event (mileage or airfare).  Should they need to stay overnight, we ask that you provide a Host Home and meals for them.

Give us a call today to reserve a date for your EnvisioningShare in the joy of seeing your laity receive a new vision for the future of ministry in your congregation.
