Vicki Tucker’s heart’s desire is to know Jesus more, and to “give it all away” so that others may know Him, too. She came to understand, after 30 years as a church “pew sitter”, that knowing Jesus Christ is the greatest treasure anyone can have. At 30 years of age, she dedicated her life to loving and serving Him as her Lord and Savior. She has known the amazing blessing of having her sins washed away, and she wants to share that blessing with others. One of the biggest ways God has worked in her life is through His Word, changing her mind, healing her emotions, and revealing His Truth. Vicki’s passion is to share God’s Word with others so that they can be transformed and know how alive and practical it is. The Holy Spirit has given her the spiritual gifts of faith, encouragement, administration and wisdom. These gifts are used to build up the Body of Christ and encourage others in their journey of faith with the Lord. Some of the ways God has used Vicki to minister to others is through teaching Bible studies, leading small groups, one-on-one mentoring of women, as a counselor and post-abortion Bible study leader at a crisis pregnancy center, and as a Red Cross volunteer. Vicki grew up in the United Methodist Church, and served on staff at First United Methodist Church of Pinellas Park, FL for nearly 11 years, serving as Financial Secretary, Office Manager and, finally, Adult Ministries Coordinator. It was in this latter role that she first encountered PEM’s ministry as she participated in Personal Christian Coaching with Pastor Jim Hollis. She is excited about the mission of PEM, and the important role it has to play in strengthening local churches of many denominations so that they may be about the important work of sharing the love of Christ with those who are walking in darkness. In addition to her involvement in the United Methodist Church, she has served as a staff member of 5 other churches of 4 different denominations, and is currently serving as Church Secretary at The Bridge Church (non-denominational) and Bookkeeper at Pasadena Baptist Church, both located in St. Petersburg, FL.Her desire is to be used for Christ’s glory wherever God places her. Vicki loves to take care of her family – husband Wayne and 3 adult children – Kyle, Kim and Jamie - as well as her 2 grandsons, Christopher and Kellen. Baking, quilting, card-making, traveling and reading are also some of her favorite activities. Vicki’s life verse, which keeps her focused on that which is nearest and dearest to her heart, is Psalm 27:4: “One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple.”
