About Lynne Capes

Through the years, as an active member in the lay service and ministry of my local church, I have been privileged to be leader and Bible teacher of middle school children, single adults, women, and young couples. I was asked to and did serve as leader in implementing the Watchman Prayer Ministry into our congregation in which approximately 160 members participated weekly. I’ve also mentored in the women’s ministry program of the church.

Since the early nineties I’ve been privileged to participate in Bible Study Fellowship and served in leadership within that organization.

I’m a member of the North Georgia Emmaus Community, Walk #21, and have served on several teams and given talks in the Emmaus ministry.

Locally, I’ve served as coach in The Miracle League of Rockdale County for mentally and physically handicapped children and recreational girl’s basketball league. I serve in Chaplaincy Program to women in the Newton County Detention Center.

In 2006 I was trained and received certification as a Georgia Baptist Disaster Relief Chaplain.

In my spare time, I also enjoy tennis, travel, reading, and most outdoor activities. Lastly and of great importance, my husband is Tony Capes, I'm blessed to be the mom of two very special daughters, who are married to two wonderful husbands, and Grands to four preciously GRAND blessings.
