About Heidi Lauer:
Heidi Lauer has always sensed God’s Presence in her life. She attended church with her grandparents on a semi-regular basis while she was younger. In middle school, she went to a youth group with a friend. This was the start of her family coming back to God and attending church together. She was married in 1994 and shortly thereafter, she began to grow in her personal, saving relationship with Jesus and in her understanding of him in her life through a bible study called, Bible Study Fellowship (BSF). In 2004, PEM came to her church at First United Methodist Church, in Brooksville, Florida. The PEM staff worked with them through an extensive, two year covenant. During this time, Heidi's hunger for learning and responding to God was re-ignited. She found herself looking forward to the testimonies and teachings that happened on the PEM weekends. She knew, early on in the covenant, God was calling her to be a part of the PEM ministry team. She is currently the Prayer Team leader and a member of the Lay Leadership Team at her church. She has been involved with evangelism, visitation outreach, teaching adult Sunday School, Beth Moore Bible Studies, the SHARE Program, a discussion leader in BSF and prayer. Prior to staying home with her two girls, Heidi was a general manager and trainer for Denny's Restaurants in Gurnee, IL and Clearwater, FL. She has also managed The Corner Bakery in Gurnee, IL. She holds a bachelor's degree in Food Service Management and a culinary arts degree specializing in Baking & Pastry. She enjoys baking, making chocolate, spending time w/her family and supporting her husband who enjoys restoring classic cars. One of her favorite scriptures is from 1 Thes. 5:16-18..."Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus". |
