The Top Ten Reasons we are different:
We are a ministry.
We are non profit.
All teachings are completely Biblically based.
We are called to equip churches to fulfill their specific call.
We come to your church.
We take your church environment and culture into account when developing our training plan.
We enable your leaders to train, creating a continuing educational process as new leaders are raised up.
We model the teachings and walk you through the training steps.
Our staff feels called by God to do what they do.
Personal relationships are important to us.
PEM is radically different and more effective than hundreds of "out of the box," "out of the book," or "one size fits all" programs of development. Thousands of churches have spent millions of dollars in "chasing after" the latest, greatest strategies used by famous authors, mega-churches or other programs which are not SPECIFICALLY TAILORED for their local church. Every local church is unique, has a specific calling from God, and at best, must develop its own special mission and vision for the specific community in which it is located.
Our Ministry Staff is comprised primarily of outstanding, gifted, authentic lay people who have spent years of effective ministry serving in leadership of local congregations. They have gone through extensive training with Rev. Jim Hollis, our Executive Director and have areas of ministry development that they focus on, feel called to and see as a critical part of their personal service to God.
As a Staff we ASK to stay in Host Homes, because one of the most vital ministries we teach, not only through training but by personal example, is establishing and building quality, caring and lasting friendships with others.
Our Staff becomes very close to your church's Pastor, Leaders and members. We exchange email addresses, cell phone numbers and intentionally stay in close contact with each of your Staff and Leaders during the entire time we work with your congregation. This makes an INCREDIBLE difference in the level of lasting impact we are able to have with a local church, long after the training has formally ended. Our goal is for spiritual transformation that lasts, ministries that are laity led that change lives consistently, and a church that develops both competency and confidence in reaching out to its entire congregation and community.
The PEM Staff also has considerable experience in Conflict Resolution Ministry with local churches. We have seen many situations that were very difficult and divided at first become vital, unified places of ministry over a period of months through our working extensively in the congregation.
